This Friday, Barracuda: The Heart Tribute Band hits the stage, bringing the powerful music of Heart to life for fans old and new.

The band’s lead singer Shareen Ann was inspired early on by spinning her sister’s classic rock records. Among them, Heart stood out. She sang along to Ann Wilson’s soaring vocals and eventually found herself performing Heart covers in a Nashville band. After countless audience members told her she sounded just like Ann, she knew a full tribute show was the next step.

In addition to Shareen, Barracuda features a talented lineup of musicians: Darryl Hebert, Mark Kenny, Doug Grant, Ray Roper, Sarah Moon, and D.L. Car. Together, they bring energy, precision, and a true passion for the music to every stage they play.

Performing as Heart takes more than just talent. The band commits to constant rehearsal, vocal warmups, and physical training to match the energy of the originals. And it shows. Whether it’s an arena or a festival, Barracuda delivers a show that’s authentic and full of heart.

One of the singer’s favorite songs to perform is Dog and Butterfly, which brings back memories of her childhood and the countryside where she grew up. Outdoor shows where dogs roam the crowd make it even more special. “It brings tears of joy at times,” states Ann.

Over the years, the band has had unforgettable moments on stage, including a crowd of thousands singing “Happy Birthday” during a performance. But what means the most is seeing multiple generations connect through the music. “The music is timeless,” she said, recalling a moment when grandmothers and granddaughters danced and sang together in the crowd.

While Barracuda stays true to Heart’s sound, they have added a few subtle touches, like Led Zeppelin-inspired moments, to honor the band’s influences. “We think Heart would appreciate it, since they were influenced by Zeppelin too,” she added.

When asked what fans can expect Friday night, the message is simple: come ready to relive memories, discover new favorites, and enjoy a passionate tribute from musicians who truly love the music they play.
