Good Rockin' & Safe This Friday in Fountain Park
by Tafi Stober
Feel Good Fridays at Fountain Park, presented by Van Wert Live and sponsored by the Van Wert County Foundation, will give you a reason to move your feet to the beat this Friday! Good Rockin' Tonight is a 1950's Rock and Rockabilly Tribute band that features professional Nashville musicians who perform the most influential songs in Rock and Roll history. The group pays accurate tribute to the music of Elvis, Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, The Everly Brothers, Jerry Lee Lewis, Eddie Cochran, Johnny Cash and more with excited energy and musical accuracy. Good Rockin Tonight also recently recorded a live album, due out soon at the Legendary Sun Records in Memphis where Rock n Roll was created.
The show will take you back to a time where people recorded songs in a day, danced at the sock hop, dressed sharp and created some of the greatest music the world has ever heard. No doubt Good Rockin' Tonight will have you on your feet dancing and singing along the whole show! Just stay socially distanced in your fan pod and dance the night away. Masks are mandatory for entering the park until you are within your socially distanced fan pod space. When socially distanced, they can be removed. Singing and dancing are not mandatory but are recommended.
As is Van Wert Live safety standards in collaboration with the Van Wert Health Department, hand sanitizing stations are located throughout Fountain Park for your liberal use. It is necessary that all attendees stay distanced from the performers on the stage. The restroom facilities are sanitized throughout the event. We applaud our audience for being respectful of the safety guidelines. Feel Good Fridays keep the music playing because a safe mind and body are often the result of an entertained mind and body. Live music soothes the soul and we are honored to share it with you in a safe environment.
